Attention
Holding focus on what matters while the game is loud.
The AVA Brain Lab™
Sport is a perception and decision problem before it is a physical one. The Brain Lab trains the part of performance most programs never touch.
Training domains
Holding focus on what matters while the game is loud.
Responding to a real cue, not a random light on a screen.
How often, when and where the athlete looks before receiving.
Holding instructions, positions and options in mind under load.
Reading recurring shapes and movements in the sport.
Choosing the better option, faster, with the ball coming.
Regulating arousal after a mistake or a bad call.
Changing the plan when the picture changes.
Executing when the score, the crowd and the clock all count.
Our honesty statement
AVA uses cognitive and sport-specific training to develop performance-related skills. We do not promise that generic "brain games" automatically transfer to every aspect of athletic performance.
Research supports the importance of decision-making and representative training in youth team sports. The question of how far a given exercise transfers to competition is something we measure inside AVA rather than exaggerate in marketing. That is why every athlete has a baseline, a current score and a next target.
How a session runs
Every cognitive block is anchored to a real situation from the athlete's sport and position.
Measure the capacity before we train it.
Add cognitive pressure to a technical task.
Change space, time or options to force a decision.
The athlete explains the choice they made and why.
